2011 Christmas Card Challenge Week #9

Hi everyone!

Wow, we had some awesome entries last week!  Thanks so much to all of you who have joined us for our challenges!  We love seeing your cards, and are totally inspired by what you create.  Hopefully, you'll be ahead of the game come Christmas time this year. :)

This week's challenge is to use a transparency.  Please remember that our challenges are optional, any winter or Christmas card is perfect, we just want to help you get a jump start on your holiday cards. Also, it is not required that you use a SCRS stamp to participate, but we sure love it when you do.

Here are the beautiful cards created by our lovely design team for this weeks challenge.

2011 Christmas Card Challenges Week #7

Good morning.  Thanks to those who played in last week's snowman challenge.  This week, we have a fabulous sketch for you. Remember, however, that the only real rule to play along is that you make a Christmas or holiday card.  The goal is to have all your cards done by the end of November so you are not rushing at the last minute. Also, it is not required that you use a SCRS stamp, but we sure love it when you do. :)

Here's what the designers have for you this week with Peggy's sketch.

2011 Christmas Card Challenge Week #5

Happy New Year everyone!  Thank you to everyone who played along with us last week, we love seeing all of your wonderful cards!  We would also like to thank Brenda for joining us in December as our guest designer.

Our challenge for you this week is embossing, either dry or heat works.   Remember that our challenges are not mandatory, any Christmas or winter holiday card works.  The goal is to have all your cards done by the end of November so you are not rushing at the last minute.

It is also the first challenge of the month so there is a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp up for grabs to one lucky participant!  Good luck!

Our guest designer for January is Alica.  Here is a little bit about her in her own words.

My name is Alica and I live in beautiful Niagara Falls (on the Canadian side) with my hubby of almost 10 years and 2 kiddos (8 & 5). I started crafting as a kid - I did a lot of needlepoint, cross-stitching, knitting, sewing until I discovered card making and papercrafting about 3 years ago. It developed into a serious addiction, too bad I can't do it all the time - life gets in the way. :)

I'm mostly a card maker, but I do love creating little gifts and altered items. I don't know if I have a "style" - I like to try new things, techniques, papers, stamps a coloring media all the time.

I love to participate in challenges - they boost my creativity and expand my crafting horizons. I never have enough Christmas cards so I was very excited when I was asked to be a guest designer for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge. This way I'll make an early start and I hope you'll like my creations.
