2011 Christmas Card Challenge Week #5

Happy New Year everyone!  Thank you to everyone who played along with us last week, we love seeing all of your wonderful cards!  We would also like to thank Brenda for joining us in December as our guest designer.

Our challenge for you this week is embossing, either dry or heat works.   Remember that our challenges are not mandatory, any Christmas or winter holiday card works.  The goal is to have all your cards done by the end of November so you are not rushing at the last minute.

It is also the first challenge of the month so there is a Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp up for grabs to one lucky participant!  Good luck!

Our guest designer for January is Alica.  Here is a little bit about her in her own words.

My name is Alica and I live in beautiful Niagara Falls (on the Canadian side) with my hubby of almost 10 years and 2 kiddos (8 & 5). I started crafting as a kid - I did a lot of needlepoint, cross-stitching, knitting, sewing until I discovered card making and papercrafting about 3 years ago. It developed into a serious addiction, too bad I can't do it all the time - life gets in the way. :)

I'm mostly a card maker, but I do love creating little gifts and altered items. I don't know if I have a "style" - I like to try new things, techniques, papers, stamps a coloring media all the time.

I love to participate in challenges - they boost my creativity and expand my crafting horizons. I never have enough Christmas cards so I was very excited when I was asked to be a guest designer for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge. This way I'll make an early start and I hope you'll like my creations.

Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. Generic blog links will be disabled or deleted. To get the full URL, click the title of your blog post (which will load a page that has just that post on it), then copy and paste the URL.

Don't forget to post a comment so we know you added a card! If you are uploading to an online gallery such as Splitcoast, please use the tag SCCC05, so that we can all enjoy your cards.

Happy crafting!
